Progression needs a reference point
Progressing in isolation is progressing blind. Absolute data tells you where you are. Relative data tells you how fast you're closing in on, or drifting from, the level you're aiming for.
Versus Mode is the external mirror that solo training can't provide.
How Versus works
Global Mode, Profile vs Profile
Compare your full profile against another ZON athlete. The radar displays 5–6 dimensions simultaneously:
- Strength, normalized peak load across primary lifts
- Weekly volume, total tonnage accumulated over the last 4 weeks
- Consistency, percentage of sessions completed vs sessions planned
- Intensity, average declared RPE over the period
- Progression, performance delta over 30 and 90 days
Each dimension is normalized to compare profiles with different body weights and training histories. A beginner won't get crushed by a veteran: you read the dynamic, not the raw values.
Exercise Mode, 1 movement, 2 athletes
Drill into a specific exercise. Bench Press, Squat, Deadlift, Row: select the movement and ZON displays the progression history of both athletes on the same chart, respective PRs, current loads, and trajectories.
It's the locker room debate, settled by data.
Share card
After each head-to-head, generate an exportable visual card summarizing the Versus, who dominates on which metric, what the overall verdict is. Share directly on your stories or in DMs.
Healthy competition. Measurable progress.
Versus Mode isn't there to crush egos. It's there to create urgency for progress. Seeing a training partner beat you by 12% on consistency is the best discipline coach that exists.
Available on iOS and Android (private beta). Athlete search within the ZON community included.
